1. Holy Prophet

Mustafā (S.A.W.W)
said:
“O Ali, do not swear by Allāh
(s.w.t.) whether you say the
truth or not except in cases
of emergency. Do not make
Allāh the subject of your
oath, for Allāh will never
keep or compassionate him
who swears by His Name
falsely.

is subject to disappear

results of your deeds.”

Mu’minin Imām
‘Alī ibn Abī Tālib
(a.s.) said:
“O Allah! The existence of
Your Proof (Hujjat) upon
Your creatures is certain. So
that they may guide the
people towards You. Teach
them Your sciences so that
Your Proof is not falsified
and after Your guidance
Your followers are not led
astray. That Proof is either
clear and it is disobeyed, or
it is hidden or awaited. Even
if at the time of guidance the
Imam is not present among
the people even then his
knowledge and code of
conduct is engraved on the
hearts of believers, upon
who the believers act.”

three groups of people are

not favor either side in the
least amount, and those who
tell the truth whether it be in
their favor or not.”

“Whoever prepares himself
for the future life of this
world has not recognized the
truth about death.
People who have high
aspirations will commit sins
and do evil.
If one could see his own
death, and how fast it
approaches him,
then he would hate high
aspirations and seeking
(material things of) this
world.”

“O’ People! Fear Allah (s.w.t).

hide. Prepare yourselves for
death. A death from which
you try to escape will
approach you. Even if you
stay where you are, it will
overcome you. It will
remember you even if you
forget it.”

said:
“Happiness is for the one
who will attend the Al-Qaem
(a.s.) of my Ahlul-Bayt and
will follow him before his rise.
This person will love his (Al-
Qaem (a.s.)) lovers and hate
his enemies, and will accept
the leadership of the Imams
from before his advent.
These ones are my friends,
and are the most sincere
members of my Ummah whom
I honour very much.”

“We really like to enjoy our
family, relatives and
servants. It is our right to
ask Allah (s.w.t) not to
descend calamities upon us.
But whenever Allah (s.w.t)
destines something, we are
not allowed to like what Allah
(s.w.t) does not like.”

“Allah (s.w.t) told Hazrat
Moosa (a.s.), the son of

His revelations: “O’ Moosa! I
have not created anything
dearer than My believing
servant. I will make him
suffer for what is better for
him, and then give him a
reward that is better for him.
I know best what is better
for him. He must persevere
in the face of My hardships,
and be grateful for My
blessings. He must be
content with My decree. If he
acts according to My decree
and oobeys Me, then I will
record him as being one of
the Righteous.”

way are always in hardship.
But this hardship is for a

sins without enough penalty

(s.w.t) will punish him in the
grave so that he is left with
no sins to witness against
him when he appears in front
of his Lord to meet Him”

Sādiq (a.s.) said :
“Visit the ill, and ask them to
pray for you, since their
prayer is equal to the
prayers of the angels.
Whenever one gets ill at
night and accepts it with
pleasure, God will record the
reward of sixty years of
worship for him.”
Imām (a.s.) was asked:
“What do you mean by
accepting it with pleasure?”
Imām (a.s.) said: “It means
that he does not complain to
anyone about his illness.”
1. 31. Imām Ja’far
ibn Muhammad al-
Sādiq (a.s.) quoted
Allah’s (s.w.t.)
Prophet (a.s):
“The story of a believer is
like that of a branch of a
tree which the winds move
around. The believer gets
pushed around by pains and
illnesses.
The story of a hypocrite is
like that of a straight cane
which is never bent or
harmed until death
approaches and it bends
down.”

condolence to one who is
